Compensation and Work Schedule:

  • Flexible hybrid schedule, Monday through Friday
  • Hourly wage ranging from $24 to $30, commensurate with experience

Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Director of Finance, and in alignment with the policies and procedures of Episcopal Homes of Minnesota (EHM), this role is essential in assisting with the billing processes for Medicaid and insurance claims across our skilled nursing facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and submit claims for Medicaid and various insurance providers
  • Collaborate with county case managers to complete necessary DHS documentation
  • Manage payment remittances for the aforementioned payers
  • Conduct weekly follow-ups on outstanding claims
  • Maintain Accounts Receivable aging in accordance with established goals
  • Work in conjunction with fellow billers to reconcile resident Accounts Receivable
  • Prepare and submit Hospice claims to Medicare in the upcoming year
  • Engage with all individuals respectfully and professionally, ensuring a supportive work environment

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in patient billing, particularly with Medicaid and insurance
  • Familiarity with MN-Its and various insurance portals
  • Experience with Point Click Care or similar billing systems is preferred
  • Background in Skilled Nursing Facilities or Healthcare settings is advantageous

Skills and Knowledge:

Proficient in utilizing computer billing systems and internet-based billing platforms. Candidates must possess strong communication skills in English, along with the ability to perform basic and intermediate mathematical calculations.
