Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Healthcare Quality Specialist to join our team in Arizona. This is a unique opportunity to work on quality healthcare initiatives for children in foster care throughout the state.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading, evaluating, and monitoring behavioral, dental, and physical health services for children in foster care. This role requires strong clinical acumen and the ability to apply State and Federal policies, evidence-based criteria, and guidelines as well as recognized community standards.

The ideal candidate will have experience in pediatric healthcare, managed care, and familiarity with Arizona's healthcare programs, including state and local resources. They will also possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work under pressure in a high-paced environment.

This position offers a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, we offer remote work options and opportunities for professional growth and development.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to individual and systemic quality of care for the DCS CHP Quality Department.
  • Perform medical necessity reviews, investigations, and follow-up of quality-of-care concerns, complaints, and grievances.
  • Review, consult, and advise on Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure, Mode, Effects, and Analysis (FMEA), data gathering, and reporting on cases based on set criteria.
  • Communicate with clinical/non-clinical staff, healthcare providers, and other healthcare professionals to gather, provide education, report, and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Manage and respond appropriately to requests in the Quality Inbox.
  • Interpret and apply statutes, regulations, and Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) policy and rules.
Requirements
  • A current, active AZ RN license; in good standing with AZ Nursing Board.
  • Ability to secure and maintain an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Ability to secure and maintain clearance from DCS Central Registry.
