About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Science Specialist to join our team in Arizona. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for reviewing permit applications and developing permits for the AZPDES permit program.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of water quality principles, the Clean Water Act, and/or Arizona Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (AZPDES) regulations. You will work closely with our team to conduct research, draft pollutant limits, and identify sources of pollutants or hazards that affect human health and the environment.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in environmental/chemical engineering, hydrogeology, hydrology, geology, biology, earth science, or law
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a related field, or equivalent education
  • Strong knowledge of water quality principles, the Clean Water Act, and/or Arizona Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (AZPDES) regulations
  • Ability to understand and apply environmental rules and statutes
