Clinical Pharmacy Specialist

Role Overview: The Inpatient Pharmacist is responsible for delivering comprehensive pharmacy services, which encompass inpatient medication distribution, intravenous (IV) admixture, drug information provision, pharmacokinetic analysis, drug therapy oversight, patient education, and adherence to controlled substance regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and guide supportive personnel within the Pharmacy Department.
- Contribute to a healthcare environment that prioritizes satisfaction for patients, families, physicians, and staff.
- Ensure that all decisions align with the Mission and Values of ProMedica Health System.
Educational Requirements: A Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy is required, along with a valid license to practice in the respective state(s).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Pharm.D. degree and completion of residency training.
- Experience: Preferred background in hospital pharmacy services, including unit dose dispensing, IV admixtures, and pharmacokinetic dosing.
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred.
Working Conditions:
- Personal Protective Equipment: Required as per safety protocols.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift light materials; frequent sitting and reaching; occasional standing, squatting, kneeling, walking, and navigating stairs.
- Mobility between workstations is essential.
