Job Overview

At Interim HealthCare of Louisiana, we are seeking an experienced Hospice Business Development Representative to drive business growth and expand our reach in the Mandeville, Covington, Slidell, and Metairie areas.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with healthcare providers, community organizations, and referral sources to increase sales. This role is crucial in ensuring that patients receive the highest quality hospice care.

About the Role

This is a Sales Representative position that requires excellent communication skills, goal-driven mentality, and the ability to work independently. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of current hospice sales experience and a book of business in the designated areas.

  • The salary for this position is estimated to be around $75,000 per year, with an incentive package subject to experience and performance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with home care referral sources and prospective clients such as physicians, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and assisted living facilities.
  • Create and implement account development strategies to target, nurture, and grow accounts.
  • Prepare and conduct sales presentations to organizations and community resources with access to prospective home care clients.
  • Track and report all prospecting, account development, referral, and sales activity.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business (or related field) or equivalent training and work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of current hospice sales experience.
  • A book of business in Mandeville, Covington, Slidell, or Metairie, Louisiana.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of hospice and home health services, referral sources, and payors.
  • Understanding of state and federal home health standards and regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, goal-driven mentality, and ability to work independently.
