Position Overview

ARE YOU READY TO TAKE ON THIS CHALLENGE?

Become an integral part of our Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) team within the Pure Security Office. In this role, you will play a crucial part in protecting our digital resources and implementing effective risk management strategies. As a guardian of our digital environment, you will identify and mitigate risks, ensuring a balance between business objectives and security needs. Key Responsibilities

What You Will Do
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Infrastructure, Engineering, Business, and Security to pinpoint potential security vulnerabilities.
  • Guide and influence technology and platform owners to adopt essential controls and best practices in response to identified risks.
  • Design and execute risk management strategies and processes.
  • Maintain and update the cybersecurity risk register.
  • Conduct regular assessments of risks.
  • Evaluate security exceptions while assessing associated risks.
  • Monitor and report on the success of risk management initiatives.
  • Assess risks appropriately during business and technical decision-making, showcasing a risk management mindset.
Qualifications

Requirements

General Experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a GRC or Risk Management role, with expertise in both on-premises and cloud environments within a technology organization.
  • Familiarity with Security Best Practices (e.g., least privilege, zero trust model).
  • Hands-on experience with GRC tools (e.g., ServiceNow, ZenGRC).
  • Cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) are advantageous.
Technical Skills
  • In-depth knowledge of risk management frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO) and compliance standards (e.g., ISO27001, SOC-2).
  • Basic to intermediate understanding of secure software development methodologies.
  • Expertise in identifying risks within solution architecture and design.
  • Proficient in creating risk reports for senior management.
Soft Skills
  • Analytical Thinking: Proficient in analyzing issues, identifying root causes, and proposing solutions.
  • Project Management: Experience in managing project timelines, resources, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with diverse teams, including Engineering, IT operations, Security, and Compliance.
Compensation

USD $130,000 - $196,000.00 /Yr.

Pay Transparency Statement

Salary ranges are determined based on role, level, and location. This role may also be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity. We recognize the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance and offer various benefits, including flexible time off and wellness resources.
