The Amusement Arcade Equipment Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the repair and technical operations of arcade games and related equipment. This position entails managing, maintaining, and ensuring the optimal performance of mechanical and electronic amusement devices.

In addition, the Supervisor is tasked with the upkeep and sanitation of facility equipment, ensuring it operates at peak efficiency. Responsibilities also include assisting with budgeting and planning for repairs and upgrades, along with various administrative and logistical duties as needed. Travel may be necessary for certain locations.

Key Responsibilities

General Duties

  • Assigns tasks to team members based on the condition of the facility, including bowling, arcade, and other entertainment machines.
  • Follows up on assigned work to ensure completion.
  • Maintains and services bowling and arcade equipment to ensure top operational standards.
  • Identifies and recommends repairs or replacements for malfunctioning equipment to management for approval.
  • Trains mechanics on safety protocols and operational standards for all equipment and maintenance programs.
  • Ensures compliance with safety regulations and policies, including OSHA standards.
  • Responds to service calls for any issues related to bowling, arcade, or entertainment equipment.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
  • Must be available to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as well as overtime as needed.
  • Conducts inventory assessments on all facility equipment.
  • Maintains a clean and organized workspace.

Arcade Equipment Management

  • Oversees the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and electronic arcade machines.
  • Coordinates the transportation and assembly of machines using appropriate tools.
  • Performs maintenance and repairs on arcade machines and other facility areas.
  • Completes mechanic training programs relevant to the position.

Facility Maintenance

  • Obtains quotes for regular and emergency repairs in line with budgetary guidelines.
  • Monitors and schedules routine maintenance for HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and other essential building systems.
  • Handles various facility maintenance and repair tasks as needed.
  • Identifies common issues with equipment components such as controls and audio systems.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Ensures compliance with age restrictions and alcohol control policies.
  • Maintains high ethical standards in the workplace.
  • Reports irregularities and issues to management for resolution.
  • Fosters good communication with all employees and external contacts.
  • Adheres to company policies and maintains confidentiality.
  • Responsible for ensuring a clean and safe working environment.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and interpersonal abilities, demonstrating integrity and respect for all individuals. Excellent communication, critical thinking, and analytical skills are essential, along with an appreciation for diversity.

Experience and Education:

A minimum of two years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.

Work Environment:

This role is performed in a vibrant bowling and arcade environment, where high levels of noise and activity are common. The noise level is typically loud.

Physical Requirements:

Employees in this position must be able to bend, stretch, twist, and climb, demonstrating a high level of mobility and flexibility. Standing and walking for extended periods without breaks is required during busy times. Candidates must also be able to use their hands to handle and manipulate objects, with the ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds with assistance.
