Round One Entertainment Inc. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Amusement Department Manager to oversee our arcade and crane operations.

Position Overview:

The Amusement Manager is tasked with ensuring the profitability of our entertainment facilities through effective leadership and oversight of personnel and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain all games in optimal working condition.
  • Handle cash management, ensuring accurate balancing of deposits at the end of each shift.
  • Restock machines as necessary and contribute to promotional strategies.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve issues promptly.
  • Implement and uphold company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in entertainment, hospitality, or retail sectors.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; some college experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude.
  • Excellent time management and operational skills.
  • Prior management experience in a similar environment is highly desirable.
  • Ability to lead by example and achieve sales targets through effective policy execution.
  • Assist customers and perform minor repairs on machines as needed.
  • Educate customers on game operations and address any complaints regarding machine issues.
  • Schedule and assign tasks to staff effectively.
  • Monitor inventory levels daily to ensure product availability.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to supervise department staff and ensure compliance with operational standards.
  • Train amusement department employees thoroughly.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of reports related to purchases and inventory.
  • Act as General Manager in their absence.
  • Monitor staffing levels to maintain adequate coverage.
  • Assist in preventing theft and loss.
  • Enhance store presentation and traffic flow with display adjustments.
  • Track departmental sales consistently.
  • Contribute to operational improvements to increase customer engagement.
  • Maintain visibility and accessibility to customers for superior service.
  • Address complex customer complaints effectively.
  • Enforce age restrictions and alcohol control policies.
  • Fulfill all shift responsibilities as directed by the General Manager.
  • Assist in recruiting and hiring qualified candidates.
  • Oversee staff attendance and conduct performance reviews.
  • Provide coaching and training to employees as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the General Manager.

Human Resources Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, coach, and develop staff for various departments.
  • Foster a diverse and high-performing team through mentoring.
  • Ensure accuracy in department time sheets and overtime tracking.
  • Facilitate new hire orientation for employees.
  • Monitor staffing levels daily across departments.
  • Prepare performance evaluations for direct reports.

Auditing Duties:

  • Audit refunds and credits against daily sales.
  • Review cash drawers and transaction records.
  • Track special events and their financial impact.
  • Compile Daily Audit Reports for management review.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Adhere to company guidelines for managing confidential information and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure facilities are well-maintained and comply with safety regulations.
  • Enforce compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Follow OSHA requirements diligently.
  • Perform opening and closing duties, including security checks.

Physical Requirements:

This role requires the ability to bend, stretch, twist, and climb, as well as maintain mobility in confined spaces. Standing and walking for extended periods is necessary, along with the ability to lift and move up to 100lbs with assistance.
