Job Summary

International SOS Government Medical Services is seeking a highly skilled Paramedic to join our team. As a Paramedic, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating direct and indirect clinical care to patients. You will work as a member of an interdisciplinary team to provide patient-centered care, advocating for patients and their families, and interceding on their behalf to ensure their rights and beliefs are respected.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and document patient vital signs, chief complaint, medical history, and prescribed medications.
  • Perform emergency medical services, including responding to medical emergencies outside of clinics or hospitals, and utilizing provided ambulance and emergency equipment.
  • Establish observable and documentable patient goals using care plans within protocols.
  • Report changes in patient conditions to medical providers.
  • Administer basic care, including inserting catheters, collecting blood and urine specimens, and performing EKGs, visual acuity, and basic wound care.
  • Assist patients with basic care and activities of daily living, as needed.
  • Provide support and education to help patients make responsible health decisions.
  • Maintain supply inventory and restock clinical and provider areas.
  • Cross-train to work within clinics, emergency rooms, and inpatient units.
  • Participate in on-call rotation schedules as needed.
Requirements
  • Current and unrestricted license from any US State, District of Columbia, or US Territory, or National Registry EMT-P to provide healthcare within scope of practice.
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • American Heart Association - Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification is preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English to effectively communicate.
  • US Citizen.
  • US DOS clearance or the ability to obtain one is required.
  • Ability to relocate to Iraq.
  • A valid US passport is required and must be in your possession prior to relocation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of three (3) years of paramedic experience.
  • Experience in a clinic setting (urgent care, emergency room, etc.).
  • Licensed without restriction to operate emergency medical vehicles (ambulance, etc.).
