Position Overview

Location: Remote

Duration: Long-term engagement

Key Responsibilities:

1. **Strategic Alignment:**

• Collaborate with senior management to establish and synchronize business architecture strategies with organizational goals and frameworks.

• Create and uphold a business architecture roadmap that aligns with strategic objectives and product offerings.

2. **Portfolio Management:**

• Engage in Portfolio-level activities to provide architectural insights and ensure coherence with business architecture.

• Work alongside Portfolio Management to align decisions with business architecture standards.

3. **Business Architecture Development:**

• Construct and sustain detailed business architecture models, encompassing business capabilities, value streams, and organizational frameworks.

• Document and articulate the existing and prospective states of business processes and systems.

• Ensure that architectural documentation aligns with industry best practices and supports a product-focused methodology.

4. **Architectural Governance:**

• Develop and enforce governance protocols for business architecture at the portfolio level.

• Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, industry benchmarks, and architectural guidelines.

• Monitor compliance with architecture standards across the portfolio.

5. **Technology Assessment and Implementation:**

• Assess emerging technologies and trends, evaluating their potential impact on the organization and recommending strategies for adoption.

• Provide technical oversight during the rollout of new technologies and systems.

• Collaborate with IT and product teams to ensure effective integration of new solutions.

6. **Stakeholder Engagement:**

• Interact with key stakeholders, including business leaders and product managers, to gather requirements and drive architectural solutions.

• Facilitate workshops to collect feedback, define requirements, and secure consensus for architectural modifications.

• Convey complex architectural concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

7. **Continuous Improvement:**

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for process enhancement and innovation.

• Mentor team members on business architecture practices and frameworks.

• Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in business architecture.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a multi-business unit environment.

• Demonstrated knowledge of business architecture principles.

• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and decision-making abilities.

Preferred Skills:

• Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

• Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development in architecture.

• Experience with strategy execution and business architecture application.

• Knowledge of the insurance sector.

• Proficiency in business architecture tools and methodologies.

Certifications:

• Relevant certifications in enterprise architecture are advantageous.

• SAFe certification is a strong plus.
