Compensation Processing Expert

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Compensation Processing Expert to join our team. This role is pivotal in managing the payroll functions of the organization, ensuring that all payroll transactions are processed accurately and punctually. The position is Temp to Hire and offers a competitive hourly wage.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee the complete payroll processing for all employees on a weekly basis.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local payroll regulations and best practices.
  • Facilitate audits by supplying necessary records and documentation.
  • Recommend enhancements to payroll processing systems and procedures.
  • Accurately compute employee compensation in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Distribute employee paychecks and earnings statements.
  • Handle the issuance of physical or replacement checks or direct deposits in case of payroll discrepancies.
  • Record and manage federal and state payroll tax deposits and returns.
  • Collaborate with the HR department to maintain accurate employee data and payroll configurations.
  • Address payroll-related inquiries and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Perform additional administrative tasks as required.
  • Assist with accounts payable tasks when necessary.

Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience in payroll processing.
  • Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and payroll best practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations.
  • Proficient in payroll software (e.g., ADP, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and time management abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality.

Compensation Details: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour
