Objectives:
The individual will oversee the comprehensive grant management process, providing essential administrative, financial, and technical support to various departments under the Board of Commissioners.

Responsibilities:
  • Research, coordinate, draft, and monitor the overall County grant program.
  • Assist other County government offices with their grant-related needs and ensure compliance.
  • Report directly to the Finance Director.

Job Standards:
A Bachelor's Degree in public administration, business management, non-profit management, finance, or a related field, coupled with a minimum of five years of relevant experience is required. Candidates must demonstrate advanced knowledge and skills in grant administration. A valid driver's license for county business is a prerequisite for continued employment.

Essential Functions:
  • Coordinate, manage, and monitor grant programs, ensuring all reporting requirements are met.
  • Act as a liaison with departments under the Board of Commissioners and other County offices to enhance grant opportunities.
  • Identify and research new government and private funding sources for County departments.
  • Review and complete financial reports, track expenditures, and oversee grant budget plans.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Board of Commissioners' departments and related projects.
  • Generate proposals and documentation in response to funding solicitations.
  • Research, develop, and write grant proposals in accordance with submission guidelines.
  • Analyze project budgets and recommend strategies to attract funding.
  • Collect and analyze data on program performance for grant writing and reporting.
  • Coordinate fundraising activities as needed.
  • Stay updated on current literature and grant opportunities.
  • Monitor grant-related activities of recipients and contractors.
  • Serve as the prevailing wage coordinator for relevant contracts or projects.
  • Administer fair housing programs on behalf of the County.
  • Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance and participate in training sessions.
  • Perform typing, word processing, and related computer operations.
  • Work outside of typical business hours as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
