Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Nurse Assistant to join our team at El Paso Children's Hospital. As a key member of our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our young patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Basic Patient Care: Perform a range of basic patient care activities, including vital sign monitoring, medication administration, and wound care, under the direct supervision of a registered nurse.
  • Assist with Medical Procedures: Assist with medical procedures, such as phlebotomy, ECGs, and vital sign monitoring, as needed.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination and patient satisfaction.
  • Maintain a Safe Environment: Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, families, and staff, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
Requirements
  • Education and Training: Currently enrolled in a nursing program, with a focus on pediatric nursing, or completion of a nursing program with a pediatric nursing certification.
  • Skills and Abilities: Possess effective oral and written communication skills, interviewing and counseling techniques, and interpersonal relationship skills. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Experience: Hospital setting experience preferred, with a focus on pediatric nursing.
