Position Overview:
As a vital member of our healthcare team, the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner specializing in Neonatal Care will deliver comprehensive primary care in an outpatient environment. This role involves not only providing direct patient care but also engaging in patient education and counseling, alongside thorough physical assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in educational initiatives for students and residents.
- Conduct outreach visits and home assessments as necessary.
- Engage in special programs and educational efforts beyond standard working hours.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current, unrestricted certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner from the National Certification Corporation (NCC).
- Eligibility for Delegated Prescriptive Authorization through the relevant state nursing board.
- Active enrollment with the NCC.
- Certification in NRP APN status as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or equivalent experience in Pediatrics for Physician Assistants.
- Proficiency in both English and Spanish is highly desirable.
- Certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner is mandatory.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Possession of a current RN license or eligibility for license transfer.
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the relevant specialty from an accredited certification program.
- Recognition as an Advanced Practitioner by the state nursing board.
