HIDA serves as the trade association for medical products distributors and their partners, ensuring the delivery of vital medical supplies to healthcare facilities nationwide. As a prominent advocate for the healthcare distribution sector, HIDA addresses critical issues impacting the healthcare supply chain.

Work Environment

HIDA operates on a flexible schedule, combining in-office and remote work. The role requires occasional travel throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities

Live and Virtual Educational Events:

  • Identify and research educational opportunities for conferences and events.
  • Design and establish program frameworks.
  • Set clear objectives for educational initiatives.
  • Engage with members to assess their educational needs.
  • Coordinate logistics and communication for pre-event planning.
  • Oversee events to ensure they meet their objectives, fostering professional networking and knowledge sharing.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to assess success and provide recommendations for future programs.
  • Facilitate discussions and Q&A sessions during virtual events.
  • Ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Manage multiple key conferences annually.

General Duties:

  • Develop and oversee budgets for educational programs and events.
  • Ensure programs are engaging, relevant, and continuously improved based on feedback.
  • Create and manage timelines for successful program execution.
  • Collaborate with marketing and membership teams to achieve attendance and revenue goals.
  • Coordinate logistical elements of events with the meetings department.
  • Manage registration processes to ensure seamless execution.
  • Ensure all programs meet their financial and operational targets.

Additional Responsibilities:

Other duties may include managing committees, collaborating with HIDA's Emerging Leaders program, and supporting various initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant professional experience.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Experience in adult education, including live event production and speaker recruitment.
  • Familiarity with healthcare and distribution issues or a willingness to learn.
  • Exceptional project management skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation abilities.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Experience in an association environment is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management software.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team player and leader.
