Position Overview:
This pivotal role as the Deputy Chief Policy Officer for Education and International Engagement offers an exceptional opportunity to lead transformative initiatives and foster innovation within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
In this capacity, you will oversee various programs and teams, including the Directors of the Attaché Program and the Global Intellectual Property Academy (GIPA). Your leadership will be crucial in guiding the GIPA Director in managing educational activities and ensuring the effective operation of the IP Attaché Program, which encompasses the selection, training, and deployment of IP Attachés.

You will also play a significant role in supporting the Marian Rogers Croak Visiting Scholars Program, focusing on intellectual property, innovation, and economics.

Strategic Representation:
Your expertise will be vital in representing the Office of Policy and International Affairs (OPIA) during discussions related to budget and procurement for future initiatives and annual operational plans.

Analytical Oversight:
Conduct thorough analyses of budgetary, facilities, procurement, and human capital management aspects, alongside various program activities linked to GIPA's educational and training programs.

Policy Development:
Establish and refine administrative policies for the Office of Policy and International Affairs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Leadership and Support:
Your contributions will extend to overseeing Equal Employment Opportunity policies and advising senior management on significant proposals affecting long-term program objectives.

Human Capital Management:
Provide essential support services across human capital management, budget and finance, procurement, and training programs, ensuring the successful execution of the Office's mission.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess a strong background in U.S. and international intellectual property legal systems, experience in managing international activities, and the ability to develop and implement organizational policies effectively.

Executive Core Qualifications:
Applicants should demonstrate their capacity in leading change, managing people, driving results, exhibiting business acumen, and building coalitions.

Additional Information:
This position requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance. Organizational mobility is essential for advancement within the Senior Executive Service.
