About the Role

Cerity Partners is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Strategic Financial Leader to join our team. As a Senior Financial Advisor, you will be a key member of our Business Advisory leadership team, working closely with our Partner and client accounting team to provide high-level advisory services to our clients and mentoring the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Formulate the strategic direction of the business and develop tactical plans, budgeting systems, and performance metrics (KPIs). This includes financial analysis of potential acquisitions and due diligence.
  • Financial Reporting: Design meaningful financial reports and present them to various internal and external parties.
  • Risk Management: Understand current and potential risks to the business and develop plans to mitigate these risks, including internal and external risks.
  • Financial Management: Monitor cash needs, investment options, and term financing.
  • Exit Strategies: Work with ownership in privately held companies to manage the transition of owners from the company.
  • External Relationships: Develop relationships with external professional advisors, such as bankers, attorneys, insurance professionals, and CPAs.
Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled financial professional with a strong background in accounting and industry experience. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • 10+ years of work experience, preferably in both public accounting and industry.
  • CPA certification is preferred.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Demonstrated technical abilities in select areas, such as accounting, regulatory, and compliance.
  • Good analytical, interpersonal, time management, research, and communication skills.
  • The ability to effectively work with new and changing situations, including changing professional standards where there may not always be a readily apparent solution.
