Job Summary

Goodwill Industries of Arkansas is seeking a highly skilled Training Specialist to join our team. As a Training Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and delivering training programs that improve the skills, knowledge, and performance of employees within our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct needs assessments to determine what training is necessary to meet the needs of employees and the organization.
  • Design and deliver training sessions and workshops for employees using a variety of methods, including in-person, online, or hybrid formats.
  • Keep training materials up-to-date and relevant by making revisions as necessary based on changes in organizational policies, procedures, or practices.
  • Work closely with subject matter experts to develop training materials that are accurate and relevant to the target audience.
  • Coordinate the logistics of training programs, including scheduling, venue selection, and participation.
  • Track and report on training metrics, such as attendance, completion rates, and employee performance improvements.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in training and development to ensure that training programs are innovative and effective.
  • Provide functional and technical expertise to end users of our company's Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Assist in developing upcoming year's curriculum, sessions offered, and new topics offered based on annual research and evaluation results.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of a specialized field, such as basic accounting, computer, etc.
  • Equivalent of four years in high school, plus night, trade extension, or correspondence school specialized training, equal to two years of college, plus 3 years related experience and/or training, and 2 years related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Driver's License
  • 3+ years of experience in training and development, with a proven track record of designing and delivering effective training programs
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate learners
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple training programs simultaneously
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and training methodologies
  • Familiarity with e-learning authoring tools and learning management systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate training effectiveness and identify areas for improvement
