Position Overview:

Covenant Health (Tennessee) is looking for a dedicated Radiation Therapist to contribute to our Radiation Oncology department. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Lead Therapist, Medical Physicist, and Radiation Oncologist to deliver therapeutic radiation treatments to patients across various age groups. Your key duties will encompass accurately positioning patients for their sessions, administering prescribed radiation doses, conducting equipment checks, and offering compassionate support to patients and their families.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Accurately position patients for radiation therapy
  • Administer radiation treatments in accordance with medical prescriptions
  • Ensure all equipment is functioning correctly
  • Prepare necessary treatment devices
  • Provide education and reassurance to patients
  • Document patient information and modify equipment settings as needed
  • Monitor patients throughout and following their treatments
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate patient records
  • Assist in training new radiation therapists
  • Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures

Qualifications:

Minimum Education: Not specified, but must fulfill licensure and certification requirements

Minimum Experience: Entry Level

Licensure Requirement: Must obtain and uphold ARRT (T) certification within six months of program completion. CPR certification is also required.
