Radiation Therapist

As a Radiation Therapist at Covenant Health (Tennessee), you will play a vital role in administering therapeutic radiation to patients with cancer. Under the supervision of experienced professionals, you will work with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide high-quality care and support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Administer prescribed doses of radiation to specific body parts using radiation therapy equipment according to established practices and standards.
• Position patients for treatment with accuracy according to prescription, utilizing treatment devices when prescribed.
• Check radiation therapy equipment to ensure proper operation and prepare and construct equipment, such as immobilization, treatment, and protection devices.
• Review prescription, diagnosis, patient chart, and patient identification to ensure accurate treatment.
• Educate, prepare, and reassure patients and their families by answering questions, providing physical assistance, and reinforcing physicians' advice regarding treatment reactions and post-treatment care.
Requirements:
• Must have and maintain ARRT (T) within six (6) months post-graduate program.
• CPR required.
