We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Coordinator to join our team at TranSystems. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute business development strategies to grow our presence in the California marketplace.
  • Work closely with marketing, business development, and client service teams to execute business development and marketing strategies for targeted opportunities and clients throughout California.
  • Support or lead major company pursuits, proposals, and shortlist interview presentations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders to identify business opportunities and drive growth.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop effective strategies and proposals that meet client needs and requirements.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of our pipeline and project data in our MIS System, Deltek Vision.
  • Develop and maintain high-end descriptions of projects and maintain up-to-date and current resumes for project teams in Deltek Vision.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, graphic design, public relations, communications, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of professional experience, including at least three years in the A/E/C or A/E/P industry.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge and familiarity within the transportation industry (including California transportation clients DOTs, municipalities, counties, freight railroads, transit agencies, etc.).
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), analytical, and presentation skills.
  • Strong critical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding editing and persuasive writing skills.
  • High degree of presence, credibility, and confidence in working with senior colleagues and client service teams.
  • A self-starter that is highly organized that can work both independently, as well as collaborate in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail confirming consistency and compliance with company standards and RFP requirements.
  • Prior experience with Deltek Vision or similar software is beneficial.
  • Involvement with local chapter of marketing or transportation-related associations is beneficial.
  • Ability to travel when necessary.
  • Actively engages multiple perspectives when solving problems, seeks to learn from peers, and encourages reciprocal learning among team members.
