Job Title: Press Operator

We are seeking a skilled Press Operator to join our team at Amcor plc. As a Press Operator, you will be responsible for operating Gravure Printing Presses to produce high-quality packaging for domestic and international use.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate press to develop end-result printed material in accordance with customer specifications
  • Prepares press by performing a variety of tasks to produce a consistent, high-quality product
  • Monitor press operation, troubleshoot, and make adjustments as needed
  • Ensure efficient and rapid make-ready, with unloading and loading of printing carriages and rotary tools
  • Inspect cartons for proper color, register, cutting, creasing, and defect-free
  • Ensure all checklists are completed
Requirements:
  • High School diploma (or GED) and a minimum of 3 years of press operation with specific Gravure printing and troubleshooting
  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills
  • Basic computer skills and mathematical skills necessary to compute percentages, weights, and measures
Physical Demands:
  • Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, bending, and/or reaching, balancing, climbing, kneeling, crouching, reaching with hands and arms, hearing, and speaking
  • Frequent lifting in excess of 60 lbs
  • Must be able to hold, touch, feel, and manipulate with hands product and equipment in a safe manner
