## Job Title: Host

As a Host at Capital Ale House, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality, cleanliness, and service of our Dining Area. Your responsibilities will include:

### Key Responsibilities:

* Reflecting positively on the company and its staff
* Communicating with all guests in a congenial manner
* Identifying areas of need within the beverage service and dining area and correcting problems
* Ensuring the timeliness of operational deadlines and adherence to the standards of operations of the position

### Requirements:

* Availability on Sundays on a rotating basis
* No visible piercings other than in the ears and nose
* No visible tattoos that are macabre, violent, or distasteful in nature
* Adherence to all safety, sanitation, and administrative procedures
* Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor while working in a loud, high-volume environment
* Ability to work in temperatures that may vary greatly from different sections of the restaurant
* Preparedness to conduct weekly cleaning and maintenance duties
* Preparedness and punctuality for scheduled work times
* Answering telephone calls to provide directions, hours of operation, and to-go orders
* Answering guest questions regarding our products and services
* Compliance with all state and federal laws regarding serving alcohol
* Maintenance of proper sanitation standards and storage of products in safe temperature zones
* Cleaning and sanitizing equipment, utensils, and countertops following standard procedures
* Ability to bend at the waist and lift items up to 50 pounds to waist level
* Ability to move items up to 30 pounds for distances of up to 25 feet
* Ability to remain standing and active for up to an 8-hour shift, including going up and down stairs

* Clean and pressed long-sleeve collared dress shirt with sleeves worn down and buttoned
* Matching tie (no novelty ties without a manager-approved exception for holidays)
* Clean and pressed black dress pants with belt
* Black dress, non-slip shoes with socks
* No unnatural hair colors
* No visible tattoos
* No visible piercings other than in the ears
* No cologne
* Clean shaven or beards and mustaches neatly trimmed
* Only one visible piece of jewelry other than a wristwatch or wedding ring
* Female Dress Code:
* Black dress or black dress pants/skirt and matching blouse
* Closed-toed non-slip dress shoes
* No unnatural hair colors
* No visible tattoos that are macabre, violent, or distasteful in nature

* No pants with exposed seams or patch pockets
* No animal prints, denim, corduroy, or leather pants
* No halter tops or t-shirts
* No torn or frayed clothing
* No exposed undergarments
* No perfume
* Only one visible piece of jewelry other than a wristwatch or wedding ring
