Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests to ensure accurate and safe procedures
  • Position patients to scan specific areas of their bodies, using your knowledge of anatomy and physiology
  • Operate computerized tomography equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images
  • Administer radiocontrast agents to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues
  • Evaluate CT scans to determine their technical quality and accuracy
  • Follow safety procedures when working with radiation to ensure a safe working environment
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Understand and utilize the McKesson PACS system to manage patient images and records
Requirements
  • 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist
  • BLS certification
  • ARRT National certification with registration in computed tomography
  • State-specific licensing when required
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, with the ability to bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
