We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for operating computed tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues.
Key Responsibilities- Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests to ensure accurate and safe procedures
- Position patients to scan specific areas of their bodies, using your knowledge of anatomy and physiology
- Operate computerized tomography equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images
- Administer radiocontrast agents to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues
- Evaluate CT scans to determine their technical quality and accuracy
- Follow safety procedures when working with radiation to ensure a safe working environment
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Understand and utilize the McKesson PACS system to manage patient images and records
- 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist
- BLS certification
- ARRT National certification with registration in computed tomography
- State-specific licensing when required
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, with the ability to bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
