Diagnostic Ultrasound Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Ultrasound Specialist to join our team at Stony Brook University.
As a Diagnostic Ultrasound Specialist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic Ultrasound examinations for subsequent evaluation and treatment by the attending physician.
Your primary duties will include maintaining and exhibiting behavior that promotes confidence and trust, capable of working independently/unsupervised, and performing all Ultrasound Imaging techniques and examinations according to established standards and procedures.
You will also be responsible for adhering to the hospital and department policies, requiring regular and prompt attendance, and working assigned schedule including overtime and calls as scheduled.
Additional responsibilities include assisting with training, maintaining an orderly and clean work environment, and communicating and using appropriate customer relation skills with physicians, patients, families, and health care team.
Responsibilities
* Perform diagnostic Ultrasound examinations for subsequent evaluation and treatment by the attending physician
* Maintain and exhibit behavior that promotes confidence and trust
* Perform all Ultrasound Imaging techniques and examinations according to established standards and procedures
* Adhere to the hospital and department policies
* Require regular and prompt attendance
* Work assigned schedule including overtime and calls as scheduled

Requirements
* High School Diploma required
* Graduate of a program in Ultrasound Technology
* License/Certification: Certification in Ultrasound or eligible
* ARDMS OR ARRT Certification within 6 months of hire required
