Radiologic Imaging Specialist

As a Radiologic Technologist at Sentara, you will conduct diagnostic radiological imaging studies of patients, positioning them for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology, operating radiation producing equipment, and preparing patient rooms/equipment/medications. Phlebotomy competency for lab may be required for certain sites that do both Radiology and Lab.
Responsibilities- Conduct general diagnostic radiological imaging studies of patients, within scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician.
- Position patients for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology.
- Operate radiation producing equipment.
- Operate electronic Radiology systems.
- Prepare patient rooms/equipment/medications.
- Phlebotomy competency for lab may be required for certain sites that do both Radiology and Lab.
- TS - Trade School Graduate (Required)
- ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) - Certifications - Other/National
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA)
- RQI Basic managerial experience of coordinating the work of others
- Sound experience and understanding of straightforward procedures or systems
- Experience with GE equipment
