Job Summary:
The Child Development and Family Support Program (CDFS) is seeking a dedicated individual to ensure the efficient operation of our services while providing exceptional support to our community.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive administrative assistance to staff, including project management and clerical tasks.
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and program regulations.
- Operate a multi-line phone system, directing inquiries to the appropriate personnel.
- Welcome and assist families and visitors to the program.
- Process applications for Head Start and Early Head Start programs, verifying compliance with established standards.
- Handle routine office tasks such as copying, scanning, and mailing.
- Manage inventory of office supplies and place orders as needed.
- Maintain program policies and procedures in both electronic and printed formats.
- Create various documents including flyers and letters as required.
- Collaborate with management on special project requests.

General Duties:
- Report any suspected child abuse in accordance with relevant statutes and procedures.
- Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with staff to provide services to children and families.
- Uphold confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Engage with children, families, and community members in a professional and supportive manner.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- One year of experience in general office or customer service roles.
- Experience working with diverse populations is preferred.
- Bilingual skills in English and another language are highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards and relevant regulations is a plus.

Additional Requirements:
- Enrollment in the Oregon Central Background Registry prior to employment.
- Completion of a fitness for duty evaluation within 30 days of hire.
- Successful completion of required training within the first month of employment.

- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and office equipment.

Working Conditions:
- Regular attendance and adherence to the assigned schedule are essential.
- Flexibility to work outside typical hours may be required to meet workload demands.
