The University of Rochester, Department of Surgery is actively seeking a full-time tenure-track faculty member (all ranks considered) within the Division of Supportive Care in Cancer.

  • Engagement in the WCI CPC Research Program, which has maintained continuous funding from the National Cancer Institute (NCI) for over 40 years, focusing on cancer control and cancer care delivery research.
  • Access to WCI shared resources, including biostatistics and bioinformatics, clinical trials office, genomics research center, tissue bio-specimen repository, human biophysiology resource for behavioral intervention design, physical activity assessments, patient-reported outcomes, and molecular biological assessments, as well as the Office of Community Outreach and Engagement.
  • WCI hosts one of only two NCI-funded NCI Community Oncology Research Program (NCORP) Research Bases in the United States within an Academic Medical Center, providing opportunities for practice-changing nationwide research.

Requirements

  • PhD, MD, DO, or an equivalent doctoral degree.
  • A strong track record of independent external funding.
  • Successful candidates will demonstrate a robust record of extramural funding, significant publications, excellence in mentoring, community and institutional service, and experience in implementation science. Investigators focusing on the dissemination and implementation of innovative and effective interventions in oncology will be prioritized.
  • Areas of high interest include the implementation and dissemination of cancer prevention, cancer control, and cancer-supportive care interventions.
  • A proven track record of scholarly production with significant impact.

Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
