Position Overview

The Department of Public Health Sciences (PHS) at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry is seeking qualified candidates for a tenure-track faculty position specializing in Cancer Epidemiology at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor.

  • Involvement in pioneering initiatives such as the region's first cancer survivorship clinic and one of the nation's earliest geriatric oncology clinics.

Qualifications

  • A doctoral degree in Epidemiology (PhD, ScD, MD, or equivalent) or a closely related discipline with a robust focus on research design and statistical methodologies, particularly in cancer epidemiology.
  • A minimum of two years of postdoctoral research experience, a solid record of peer-reviewed publications, and a proven capability to secure extramural funding.
  • Preferred experience or research in screening for lung, pancreatic, breast, and colon cancers, as well as hepatocellular cancer and lymphoma, particularly studies addressing health disparities in cancer care and outcomes.
