Position Overview:

As a pivotal role at Zones LLC, the Microsoft Azure Solutions Strategist is essential in steering the growth of our Azure solutions revenue, enhancing gross margins, and advancing partner engagement with Microsoft.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide Sales and Support teams on program utilization and available cost support initiatives; oversee the administration and application of these programs.
  • Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline while executing strategies to enhance Microsoft Azure and Zones Services revenue across various verticals.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Leadership to effectively implement programs and registrations based on identified business opportunities.
  • Maintain expertise in program and Zones processes.
  • Create distinctive offers and provide pricing recommendations.
  • Promote integrated offers and services through the Zones Cloud Marketplace.
  • Enhance customer satisfaction through value-added services and offerings.
  • Act as a technical subject matter expert on Azure, serving as a trusted advisor to clients.
  • Engage with innovative Microsoft Azure solutions.
  • Foster strong relationships with Microsoft and other strategic partners.
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities to boost service and solution revenue and margins.
  • Work closely with Microsoft BDMs, sales, and marketing teams to design and implement effective campaigns and promotions.
  • Provide expert knowledge of Microsoft Azure services and licensing to both customers and internal teams.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and performance metrics.
  • Deliver weekly updates and reports to senior management on progress and key performance indicators.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in business administration, information technology, marketing, or a related field, or 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in delivering program and project initiatives within a high-tech environment.
  • Exceptional written, presentation, and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to present technology recommendations from a business perspective.
  • Strong understanding of the industry landscape, including market dynamics, customer needs, competitors, suppliers, and partner capabilities.
  • Professional demeanor and courteous attitude towards clients, partners, and colleagues.
  • Ability to meet challenging deadlines.
  • Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven success in managing cross-team initiatives and programs.
  • Solid understanding of Azure applications and infrastructure, data and AI, and end-to-end security.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft cloud technologies and the Cloud IaaS and Data Center partner ecosystem.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure fundamentals.
  • Experience in increasing professional services revenue and margins.
  • Ability to maintain accurate program operations and document processes.
  • Proficient in generating weekly business reports and developing new training and enablement materials.

Compensation:

Qualified candidates can expect a salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 plus bonuses. Compensation is benchmarked against local market rates, with adjustments made based on the cost of living in different locations.
