About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team at Gateway Foundation. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in providing essential services to underserved populations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' substance abuse history and treatment requirements.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, providing individual and group counseling as needed.
  • Document treatment progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Perform case management and contribute to client care monitoring.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a closely related field.
  • Credentialing or eligibility for credentialing as an Institutional Treatment Professional.
  • State licensure in social work or counseling (LPC, P-LPC, CADC, CRADC, MAADC, etc.).
  • Minimum 2-3 years of clinical counseling experience, with a focus on substance abuse and dual-diagnoses.
  • Ability to obtain Missouri Department of Corrections clearance.
