Job Title: Substance Use Counselor

Ridgeview Institute Smyrna is seeking a highly skilled Substance Use Counselor to join our team in Smyrna, Georgia.

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Substance Use Counselor to provide direct patient care to individuals struggling with substance abuse and addiction.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in Social Work or a related field and be in the process of obtaining a substance abuse license/certificate as dictated by the State of Georgia.

Experience in dual diagnosis, 12-step programs, and substance abuse is highly preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to individuals struggling with substance abuse and addiction
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Conduct group and individual therapy sessions
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Social Work or a related field
  • Substance abuse license/certificate as dictated by the State of Georgia
  • Experience in dual diagnosis, 12-step programs, and substance abuse
  • CPR/First Aid and CPI Training
