About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team at Dover Corporation. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for working collaboratively with a production team to manufacture and assemble high-quality glass, doors, frames, and subcomponents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble or produce component parts into sub-assemblies, assemblies, and completed units, adhering to assembly travelers and standard work instructions.
  • Use hand tools, electric tools, and pneumatic tools to perform assembly tasks.
  • Maintain acceptable performance standards for assembly, production, quality, safety, and housekeeping.
  • Perform minor adjustments or setups to equipment or machines under supervision.
  • Inspect parts or completed units using visual inspection, gages, tape measures, check fixtures, calipers, or other inspection equipment.
  • Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the lead person or department supervisor.
  • Follow SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and instructions from lead and supervisors.
  • Cross-train team members and processes, and assist with production as needed.
  • Perform a variety of assembly or production duties with minimal supervision.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 1-2 years of production assembly work
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic reading/writing skills
  • Basic PC skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to read a tape measure and understand fractions and decimals
  • Good communication skills
  • Understanding of 6S
  • Ability to read and understand all job specifications
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit for long periods of time
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced and complex environment.
  • Team-oriented individual who is flexible and adaptable to an ever-changing environment.
