Position Overview:
The Mechanical Assembly Technician is responsible for executing mechanical assembly tasks with precision.

This role requires proficiency in various aspects of mechanical assembly, alongside visual inspection and packaging duties.

The technician will demonstrate expertise in DIN rail assembly, which includes cutting, punching, product modifications, jumper connections, cable wiring termination, and specialty inkjet printing.

Each technician is capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team, ensuring effective production at each designated station or cell.

Key Responsibilities
- Cuts, saws, and punches DIN rail and terminal housings.
- Assembles DIN mounted terminal assemblies according to engineering specifications.
- Constructs product modifications and kits based on engineering drawings.
- Compares assembled products to technical drawings and industry standards.
- Packages products for shipment.
- Maintains consistent takt times and workflow efficiency.
- Actively engages in the company's continuous improvement initiatives.
- Applies problem-solving skills to overcome challenges.
- Collaborates positively with fellow employees.
- Performs additional tasks as assigned by management.

Ensures comprehensive understanding and adherence to all Environmental, Safety, and Security Policies while executing assigned duties in compliance with standards such as ISO and OSHA.

Qualifications
- Executes tasks with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in basic mathematics: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and working with fractions and decimals. Able to comprehend and utilize both metric and imperial measurements.
- Adaptable to rapidly changing environments.
- Capable of meeting established deadlines.
- Able to compose routine reports and complete necessary forms.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy, quality, safety, customer satisfaction, and efficiency.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
Knowledge & Experience Requirements
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to interpret and understand engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with tolerances and torque specifications.
- Experience with hand and power tools.
- Knowledge of measurement tools such as tape measures, calipers, and multimeters.
- Proficient in reading and writing English.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid math and problem-solving abilities.
- Competence in reading, understanding, and converting metric and imperial measurements.
Physical Requirements

In performing the essential functions of this role, the technician is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers with dexterity, reach with hands and arms, climb, bend, sit for extended periods, concentrate, balance, stoop, kneel, push, pull, crouch, or crawl, talk, hear, speak, count, read and follow numeric sequences, lift up to 50 lbs., and see clearly (prescription glasses are acceptable).
