**Responsibilities:**

  • Answer phone calls and schedule appointments with providers, utilizing strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Verify and update patient demographic information, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Provide check-in process for patients, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
  • Maintain provider schedules, ensuring timely and accurate updates.
  • Keep a neat and organized work area, maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Distribute mail and other materials to staff members, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Schedule referral visits, tests, labs, and appointments as requested, utilizing strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ensure patients complete all necessary paperwork, including insurance information, prior to their appointment.
  • Post payments, including co-payments, payments toward account balances, and collections, accurately and efficiently.
  • Change financial class for charges on patient accounts, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Maintain and balance payment drawer at the end of each day, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Assist patients to exam rooms, clean exam rooms after appointments, and restock rooms with supplies, ensuring a clean and organized environment.
  • Perform related work as required, utilizing strong adaptability and problem-solving skills.

**Requirements:**

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical office experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, providers, and staff.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and appointment scheduling software.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion.
