The center will facilitate sex-based research by providing seed funding to junior investigators, promoting interactions between clinical, basic, and translational scientists, providing education and training, funding internships, and creating a public awareness campaign.

The center is led by a multidisciplinary steering committee with 11 members representing seven different departments. The Co-directors of the steering committee are Drs. Sarah Kilpatrick and Noel Bairey Merz. In the last four years, the center has given out 17 research grants, leading to 4 new R01s and multiple publications.

The center offers a competitive total compensation package, including pay, benefits, and incentive programs. The base pay range is $71,000 - $260,000, and the center is committed to diversity and representation.
