Medical Science Liaison Director

Amgen is seeking a Medical Science Liaison Director to join our team. As a key member of our Medical Affairs department, you will be responsible for leading a team of Medical Science Liaisons in the development and execution of medical strategies and tactics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of Medical Science Liaisons in the development and execution of medical strategies and tactics
- Partner with medical leadership to develop Field Medical strategy, tactics, and Scientific Engagement Plans (SEPs)
- Oversee peer-to-peer scientific engagement activities with Opinion Leaders (OLs), community healthcare providers, and Population Health Decision Makers (PHDMs)
- Develop strategies for engagement and execution at key accounts, in collaboration with other internal stakeholders
- Guide the MSL team in educating and communicating clinical value, outcomes, and economic data to PHDMs within Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs) and other institutions
Requirements:
- Doctorate degree & 4 years of Medical Affairs experience
- OR Master's degree & 8 years of Medical Affairs experience
- OR Bachelor's degree & 10 years of Medical Affairs experience
- AND 4 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources
Preferred Requirements:
- Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D. or D.O. (Other Doctoral Degrees considered)
- Seven years of industry experience in Scientific/Medical Affairs at a biotech or pharmaceutical company
- At least three years in a medical science liaison role
- Seven or more years focused on clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research. Experience in a medically-related field can include post-doctoral training (i.e., residencies and/or fellowships)
- Three years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources
- Therapeutic Area expertise
