Automotive Service Operations Leader
Job Summary:
As an Operations Leader at Christian Brothers Automotive, you will be the key contact for our clients seeking assistance with their vehicles. You will be the face of our service, engaging with clients during their vehicle maintenance journey, thus playing a crucial role in fostering lasting relationships. Your responsibilities encompass guiding clients through the repair process, keeping them updated on their vehicle's status, and ensuring their overall satisfaction upon departure from our facility.
The Operations Leader holds the authority and accountability for all facets of daily business operations. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, sales management, team leadership, quality assurance, client satisfaction, revenue generation, profit margin oversight, and achieving other specified objectives set by the Owner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations and manage both office and workshop personnel.
- Adhere to and enforce company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Implement corrective actions for employee non-compliance as necessary.
- Ensure the quality of work and service meets or exceeds client satisfaction standards.
- Direct the efficient and organized operation of the facility.
- Maintain a positive attitude and effective communication at all times.
- Develop client estimates and work orders, guiding Service Writers in this process.
- Ensure the selection of high-quality parts.
- Achieve target profit margins consistently.
- Manage store opening and closing procedures daily.
- Conduct daily accounting reconciliations and report findings to the Owners.
- Ensure all equipment is operational and well-maintained.
- Provide technicians with the necessary resources to perform their duties effectively.
- Act as the primary communication link with clients throughout the service process.
- Welcome every client with enthusiasm and respect, ensuring a hospitable environment.
- Present clear and understandable solutions for vehicle repairs.
- Exhibit the ability to sell services effectively while maintaining honesty and integrity.
- Represent the organization professionally, embodying the values of honesty and integrity.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Customer Service and Service Sales.
- Previous supervisory or management experience within the Automotive Industry.
- Proficient in Windows-based software and automotive applications, with strong typing and writing skills.
- Experience with TekMetric software is preferred but not mandatory.
- Graduation from a recognized service training program is preferred but not required.
- ASE Service Consultant certification or equivalent experience is preferred.
- A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to remain on your feet for most of the workday (standing, walking, etc.).
- Occasional lifting and carrying of objects over 50 lbs.
- Capability to drive manual transmission vehicles.
- Maintain a brisk work pace in a high-volume environment.
- Utilize a keyboard and mouse for several hours daily.
- Use a standard handset phone multiple times daily.
