Job Overview
Key Qualifications:

PRIMARY ROLE:

Design and define cutting-edge electrical, mechanical, and automated systems. Enhance manufacturing assistance and maintenance initiatives through comprehensive training and technical guidance. Formulate process specifications, establish machine parameters, and devise strategies for reducing waste and improving operational uptime. Lead capital projects from the initial strategic planning stage through to procurement, installation, testing, and transition to operational teams. Analyze industry-leading facilities and implement best-in-class processes, equipment, and workflows.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop control systems for machinery, encompassing electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.

Select and procure capital equipment for manufacturing operations.

Optimize existing machinery to boost uptime, enhance quality, and increase efficiency.

Provide engineering support for production machinery and processes, including maintenance advisory.

Establish initiatives for cost-saving measures to align with overall plant objectives.

Recommend enhancements to preventative maintenance strategies.

Collaborate with suppliers and internal engineering teams for ongoing improvement initiatives.

Approve modifications to machine tool programming.

Educate team members on new technologies and manufacturing methodologies.

Adhere to and uphold Quality Management System and Environmental Management System standards.

Participate in team efforts and lead team initiatives.

Monitor and document cost-saving achievements.

PFMEAs:
Understand the application of PFMEAs within the organization; develop, maintain, and review PFMEAs as necessary.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution is required.

This role necessitates technical expertise in machine operations, processes, control systems, CNC, PLC, servo drives, stepper motor drives, and electrical/electronic systems.

Proficiency in mechanical design is essential.

Strong capabilities in capital equipment justification, project scheduling, and managerial planning are required. Excellent interpersonal skills are crucial.

Mentor and nurture maintenance staff.

Provide technical assistance to other facilities.

Candidates must demonstrate the ability to self-manage assigned projects.

Preferred experience in data-driven analysis and problem-solving techniques.
