Job Overview
Core Responsibilities:

PRIMARY ROLE:

Design and specify cutting-edge electrical, mechanical, and automated systems. Enhance manufacturing support and maintenance initiatives through comprehensive training and technical assistance. Develop process specifications, machine parameters, and strategies for reducing waste and improving operational uptime. Lead capital projects from initial planning through procurement, installation, testing, and transition to operational teams. Benchmark industry-leading facilities and implement top-tier processes, equipment, and workflows.

KEY FUNCTIONS:
Design control systems for manufacturing machinery, encompassing electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.

Select capital equipment tailored for manufacturing operations.

Enhance existing machinery to boost uptime, elevate quality, and increase productivity.

Provide engineering support for production equipment and processes, including guidance for maintenance teams.

Establish cost-saving initiatives to align with overall plant objectives.

Advise on enhancements to preventative maintenance strategies.

Collaborate with suppliers and internal engineers on continuous improvement efforts.

Authorize modifications to machine tool programs.

Train staff on emerging technologies and manufacturing methodologies.

Adhere to and uphold Quality Management System and Environmental Management System standards.

Participate in team initiatives and lead team activities.

Monitor and document cost savings.

PFMEAs:
Understand the application of PFMEAs within the organization; develop, maintain, and review PFMEAs as required.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution is required.

Position necessitates technical expertise in machine operations, processes, control systems, CNC, PLC, servo drives, stepper motor drives, and electrical/electronic systems.

Technical knowledge in mechanical design is essential.

Proficient abilities in capital equipment justification, project scheduling, and managerial planning are crucial. Strong interpersonal skills are necessary.

Mentor and develop maintenance staff.

Assist other facilities with technical challenges.

Applicants must demonstrate the ability to self-manage assigned project tasks.

Preferred experience in data-driven analysis and problem-solving techniques.
