Job Overview
Key Qualifications:

PRIMARY ROLE:

Design and specify sophisticated electrical, mechanical, and automated systems. Enhance manufacturing support and maintenance initiatives through training and technical assistance. Formulate process specifications, machine parameters, and strategies for reducing waste and improving operational uptime. Oversee capital projects from initial planning through procurement, installation, testing, and transition to production. Benchmark leading facilities and implement industry-leading processes, equipment, and workflows.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop control systems for machinery, encompassing electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.

Select capital machinery for production processes.

Optimize existing machinery to boost uptime, enhance quality, and increase efficiency.

Provide engineering assistance for production equipment and processes, including maintenance guidance.

Establish cost-saving initiatives to meet overall plant objectives.

Advise on enhancements to preventative maintenance strategies.

Collaborate with suppliers and internal engineers for ongoing improvement initiatives.

Authorize modifications to machine tool programs.

Educate team members on new technologies and manufacturing methodologies.

Adhere to and uphold Quality Management System and Environmental Management System standards.

Participate in team activities and lead team initiatives.

Monitor and document cost savings.

PFMEAs:
Understand the application of PFMEAs within the organization; develop, maintain, and review PFMEAs as required.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution is required.

The position necessitates technical expertise in machine operations, processes, control systems, CNC, PLC, servo drives, stepper motor drives, and electrical/electronic systems.

Technical knowledge in mechanical design is also essential.

Strong capabilities in capital equipment justification, project scheduling, and managerial planning are necessary. Excellent interpersonal skills are crucial.

Mentor and develop maintenance staff.

Provide technical support to other facilities.

Candidates must demonstrate the ability to self-manage assigned project tasks.

Preferred experience in data-driven analysis and problem-solving techniques.
