POSITION SUMMARY

The Cashier/Operator at Champion Dodge plays a crucial role in managing customer interactions and financial transactions within the dealership. This position is responsible for welcoming visitors, addressing their inquiries, and ensuring a smooth flow of communication throughout the dealership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Greeting customers in a friendly and professional manner upon their arrival.
  • Directing clients to the appropriate departments and notifying staff of customer presence.
  • Handling incoming calls, providing information, and taking messages as necessary.
  • Maintaining a welcoming environment by ensuring refreshments are available in the customer lounge.
  • Processing payments for services and products, ensuring accuracy in transactions.
  • Managing cash drawer operations, including balancing at the start and end of shifts.
  • Preparing necessary documentation for financial transactions and maintaining accurate records.
  • Assisting with clerical tasks and filing important dealership documents.
  • Responding to customer inquiries regarding services and products, or referring them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Addressing customer complaints with professionalism and escalating issues when needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Basic mathematical skills for handling cash and processing transactions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The Cashier/Operator will work in a dynamic dealership environment, interacting with customers and staff regularly. The role requires a commitment to maintaining a professional appearance and adhering to company policies.
