The Director of Employee Engagement Communications plays a pivotal role in articulating the company’s narrative to employees through various communication channels. This position also facilitates the integration and onboarding processes for new colleagues during mergers and acquisitions, ensuring a seamless transition and positive experience.

This role reports directly to the Executive Director of Internal Communications and Employee Engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Executive Director on key global initiatives to create and implement strategic communication plans.
  • Compose communications that prepare the organization for internal and external changes, including crafting talking points and supporting company-wide events.
  • Contribute to the editorial calendar, actively seeking opportunities to enhance employee understanding of company strategies and fostering a unified experience centered around our commitment to patients.
  • Adopt innovative internal communication methods to effectively engage employees regarding our business strategies and cultural initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively within the team to adhere to communication guidelines, integrating relevant cultural messaging and patient narratives.
  • Identify opportunities for organizational leaders to share their experiences, amplifying the company narrative through social media strategies managed on behalf of HR leaders.
  • Design and implement a comprehensive communication strategy and change management plans throughout the stages of mergers and acquisitions to ensure a positive experience for newly acquired colleagues.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Over 12 years of experience focused on organizational transformation, with a blend of pharmaceutical, in-house, and agency experience being advantageous.
  • Demonstrated expertise in mergers and acquisitions communications, with a thorough understanding of regulatory requirements at each stage of a deal.
  • Strong skills in strategic planning and project management.
  • Robust business acumen and superior written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing communication strategies in alignment with business objectives, including stakeholder engagement and content creation.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • A genuine passion for enhancing the employee experience.
  • A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in communications or a related field; a Master's degree and/or change management certification is a plus.
