Key Responsibilities
  • Effectively communicate guest requests to the appropriate supervisor in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain food service lines during operations, ensuring a steady supply of clean dishes and utensils, and replenishing hot dishes as necessary.
  • Set up bus tubs throughout the kitchen as required.
  • Perform daily cleaning and de-greasing of kitchen floors.
  • Follow proper procedures for soaking, cleaning, and storing all dishware, glassware, and cutlery.
  • Disassemble and thoroughly clean the dishwashing machine at the end of each shift, preparing it for the next team.
  • Adhere to specified protocols for washing, disinfecting, and storing pots, pans, and fryers.
  • Ensure all sinks in the kitchen remain clean and free of clutter.
  • Retrieve and return fry pans from line cooks promptly.
  • Execute routine cleaning tasks as directed, including sweeping and mopping, and maintaining cleanliness in all kitchen areas.
  • Empty, wash, and reline trash cans in the kitchen as they fill up.
  • Remove dirty linens and towels from collection areas as needed.
  • Ensure dirty linen carts are consistently in place.
  • Keep the dumpster ramp clear of debris at all times.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the corridor area near ice machines.
  • Organize the banquet utensils storage area effectively.
  • Manage trash containers in the employee lounge as required.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures of Remington.
  • Report any suspicious activities or hazardous conditions immediately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety in all work areas consistently.
  • Practice safe work habits to prevent injuries, following all safety rules and regulations.
  • Handle and label hazardous substances according to applicable regulations.
  • Attend all mandatory meetings as directed.
  • Perform additional tasks and cross-training as required.
Qualifications

Able to understand English and follow simple verbal instructions. Previous experience in a hotel or restaurant setting is preferred.

Work Environment

Work is conducted indoors in a clean, well-lit kitchen environment. The kitchen may be warm and humid, with potential odors from cooking. Floors may be uneven and slippery. Work surfaces include concrete, tile, and carpet.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to stand and walk throughout the shift, handling objects weighing up to 40 lbs regularly and up to 300 lbs occasionally with appropriate equipment. Requires bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and lifting to perform tasks. Must be able to work under pressure and navigate stairs frequently.

General Information

This position is classified as Full-Time and is eligible for employee benefits upon completion of the introductory period. Remington reserves the right to modify policies and practices as needed.
