Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Infectious Diseases Physician to join our team at Virginia Commonwealth University. As a key member of our Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases, you will provide exceptional clinical care to children, teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows, and contribute to research and academic activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical care to patients with infectious diseases, including phone consultations and review of antibiotic, antiviral, and antifungal therapies.
  • Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows in pediatric infectious diseases.
  • Contribute to research and academic activities, including generating new knowledge through clinical and basic science research projects.
  • Participate in departmental and school-level committees, and engage in professional activities through journal review, conference presentations, and other activities.
Requirements
  • Board certification or eligibility in Pediatric Infectious Diseases.
  • Experience in clinical care of patients with infectious diseases.
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in an academic medical center.
  • Excellent teaching and mentorship skills.
