Key Responsibilities- Provide reference and research assistance to patrons, both in-person and virtually.
- Develop and deliver library instruction sessions to support student learning and academic success.
- Collaborate with faculty to integrate information literacy into the curriculum.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of the library's web presence, including social media and online guides.
- Participate in department meetings and professional development activities to stay current with best practices and emerging trends in librarianship.
- Masters in Library Science (MLS) or Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) from an American Library Association (ALA)-accredited institution.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a strong understanding of the importance of creating an inclusive and welcoming environment.
- Experience working in an academic library setting.
- Proven track record of providing exceptional reference and research assistance, as well as developing and delivering effective library instruction sessions.
