Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Specialist II to join our team at Williams Companies Inc. This is a unique opportunity to work with a sophisticated telecommunications network and contribute to the company's mission of making clean energy happen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and maintain an extensive telecommunications network, ensuring seamless operations and high levels of reliability.
  • Install, troubleshoot, test, and maintain all telecom/network equipment and on-site DC power systems, including batteries, rectifiers, generators, fuse panels, solar panels, and grounding.
  • Coordinate with SCADA, Gas Control, Network Services, local operations, and other company partners to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with Telecommunications Engineers/Specialists to ensure the reliable operations of the company's telecommunications assets.
  • Apply specialized knowledge to complete major projects and/or work assignments, demonstrating expertise and problem-solving skills.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED, technical/trade school certification, or military electronics training, with a minimum of two years of experience in telecommunications, operations, or maintenance.
  • Associate's or two-year technical school degree in electronics or military electronics training, with a valid FCC license, telecommunications certificate, or license.
  • Valid State Driver's License and clean driving record.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with a strong emphasis on safety as the utmost priority.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and PC skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a team environment and build partnerships with others.
