Executive Chef Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic team at One Haus Recruiting. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef and ensuring the highest standards of quality, service, and efficiency in the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Team Management: Provide direction and guidance to the kitchen team, ensuring quality standards are achieved and continuous development in quality of guest experience, service, operational efficiency, employee retention, and satisfaction.
- Menu Development: Help develop the restaurant's la carte menus, banquet menu packages, including daily and seasonal highlights, in collaboration with the Head Chef.
- Expedition and Service: Expedite service efficiently and effectively, maintaining the proper pace and food quality, and work closely with the dining room Expeditor (if any) and team to ensure an elevated guest experience.
- Inventory and Purchasing: Work with the purchasing and receiving team daily to ensure the restaurant and event spaces have appropriate ingredients and supplies, and conduct accurate accounting of invoices.
- Equipment Maintenance and Safety: Ensure that all equipment and the overall environment is kept clean and in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the properties' preventative maintenance programs.
- Labor Scheduling and Cost Control: Schedule labor as required by anticipated business activity, ensuring that all positions are staffed and labor cost objectives are met, and modify staffing configurations based upon increases or decreases in sales volumes.
- Experience: Minimum two to four years' experience working in a fine dining restaurant or establishment of similar caliber, with a minimum of 2 years' experience as a Sous Chef or Chef de Partie.
- Education: High School Diploma, or equivalent level of education, required (Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure).
- Certifications: Associate degree or equivalent Certification in Culinary Arts.
- Skills: Strong financial and computer skills, with experience working with and an understanding of P&L and budgeting, and ability to navigate and utilize Microsoft Office Suite programs (especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), appropriate point of sale (POS) systems, and any other required operating machines.
- Competitive Salary: $85,000-$90,000.
