Aircraft Mechanic A&P Flyer Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Mechanic A&P Flyer to join our team at AAR. As a key member of our aviation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of aircraft.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform pre-departure and daily inspections of aircraft to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Launch and recover USMS aircraft, ensuring timely and efficient operations.
  • Accurately complete all aircraft paperwork to ensure safety and timely delivery.
  • Perform pre-flight inspections, adjustments, and minor repairs to ensure safe and efficient operation of aircraft.
  • Ensure work performed adheres to high quality standards.
  • Perform heavy maintenance tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Use FAA-approved data, such as IPC, M M, OHM, and SRM, proficiently.
  • Effectively interact with customer representatives.
  • Must be comfortable exercising the full privilege of A&P license.
  • Inspect aircraft prior to takeoff for defects, such as fuel or oil leaks or malfunctions in electrical, hydraulic, or pressurization systems, according to preflight checklist.
  • May perform repairs upon completion of flight.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years related aviation/aircraft experience and/or training.
  • Must have an airframe and powerplant (A&P) license.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Active Security Clearance a plus.
