The Fuel Operations Supervisor at Menzies Aviation will manage all aspects of a fuel distribution facility, including tank storage, vehicle loading operations, and hydrant system management, ensuring that the facility operates safely and delivers products that meet specifications. This role involves collaboration with engineering teams on projects that impact the operational efficiency of the facility. Additionally, the supervisor will liaise with regulatory bodies and airline representatives to keep them informed about ongoing operations and projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain communication with aviation department coordinators, airline fueling agents, and regulatory organizations.
  • Collaborate with engineers to establish design standards for various facility components.
  • Oversee contractors and construction initiatives, while preparing and issuing work orders and contracts for the fuel facility.
  • Participate in budget management and preparation.
  • Direct the procurement of maintenance and operational preventive measures.
  • Develop work schedules to optimize the use of human resources and facilities.
  • Supervise all administrative staff.
  • Assist in creating training materials and procedural manuals, and conduct necessary training and orientation for staff.
  • Handle hiring, terminations, and disciplinary actions for fuel facility and administrative personnel, including conducting annual evaluations.
  • Manage Worker's Compensation claims and documentation.
  • Conduct investigations into incidents and accidents.
  • Fulfill the responsibilities of the Drug & Alcohol Administrator, providing annual training for all employees.
  • Support the General Manager and other personnel as needed.
  • Adhere to the station's attendance standards.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or two to five years of relevant experience or training, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in aircraft fueling is required.
  • Management or supervisory experience in the aviation sector is preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Pass pre-employment drug screening and all necessary testing.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
  • Must be able to lift 70 lbs repeatedly.
  • Comfortable working in various weather conditions.
  • Flexible availability for variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Pass an FBI background check and obtain necessary security clearances.
  • Report any significant deficiencies in products, materials, and documentation.
  • Proactively suggest improvements related to safety and security practices.
  • 40-Hour HAZMAT Certification is required.
  • OSHA Train the Trainer certification is preferred.

  • Quick learner with the ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
Compensation: $78,000

Employees must be able to stand, walk, sit, and use hands for various tasks. The role may involve lifting, climbing, and performing physical activities such as snow removal and debris management. Employees may lift and/or move up to 70 lbs as needed.
